Unfair asked me a second time to create a screenprint for their annual edition, showcased during their fairs.
“During the creative process, Bob Mollema reads and walks a lot, which allows him to create a distance between himself and the relentless pace of society, especially its speed, without feeling disconnected. Taking a step back creates space, letting the mundane be viewed in a new light. This allows Mollema to let his imagination run wild: “In the evening, when the blue-purple curtain of night falls and I see birds flying, I often imagine that they are bringing the stars to the sky, but I also see this in the morning. How they pluck the stars from the sky, as it were.”
